'Pushpaka Vimanam' is just hours away from hitting the screens. This Friday, the comedy thriller is coming out amid rising expectations. When its First Look was released months ago, the expectations were far from high. But, with the release of the teaser and trailer, the Damodara directorial is releasing as a box office favourite.

Anand Deverakonda has played a government school teacher named Sundar. His wife Meenakshi (Geeth Saini) leaves him in a soup by running away unannounced. Is she finding her freedom? Is she trying to realize her dreams? What is the conflict plot point? It will be interesting to see.

Also featuring Sunil, Naresh, Harsha Vardhan and Saanve Megghana, the film has BGM by Mark K Robin.

If the film makes money, it will be a sign that Anand's judgemental abilities are going great guns. The success will also boost King Of Hills, the production house owned by Vijay Deverakonda. The makers believe that it's a new-age film coming amid a new wave. If not for anything, the film needs to work because its title owes its origin to a Kamal Haasan-Singeetham classic.
