‘Pushpa’: The biggest Indian grosser of the year!

‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has created a coveted record of sorts. It has become the biggest Indian grosser in terms of Day 1 collections of the year 2021 by mopping up Rs 71 Cr (Gross).

Had the situation been normal in Andhra Pradesh in terms of ticket prices, the figures would have been even more encouraging. The Allu Arjun-starrer, which is directed by Sukumar, is unlikely to be dislodged by any other film that is going to release in the rest of this year. The Bollywood film ’83’ may not cross this figure.

Meanwhile, Sukumar has confirmed that ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ will go on the floors in March next year. The film, the director said, will be about red sanders more than the don that is Pushpa Raj. The second edition will also explore Pushpa Raj’s equations with his father, who is shown to have birthed him illegitimately with an unwed woman in the first edition.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, the mass masala entertainer has Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine. Sunil and Ajay Ghosh are its main villains.
