Prithviraj Sukumaran is a highly sought-after actor in the Pan-Indian arena. ‘Aaujeevitham’ aka ‘The Goat’s Life’ is the most ambitious film in his career, helmed by the National Award-winning director Blessy. This movie is a survival drama based on Kerala’s highly acclaimed novel of the same name by Benyamin.
‘Aadujeevitham’ is known for being in development and production since 2009. It is one of the longest movie projects in India. Blessy decided to make the film after reading the novel in 2008 and teamed up with Prithviraj for this mammoth project. This movie took so much time to shape up due to various constraints.
The team unveiled an extraordinary making video of ‘The Goat’s Life’ aka ‘Aadujeevitham’ today, giving a sneak peek of the magnum opus shot in the deserts of Wadi Rum in Jordan. This film is about Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer who finds himself forced into slavery as a goatherd on a secluded farm in Saudi Arabia. It is based on true events in Najeeb’s life.
The 9-minute making video starts with writer Benyamin explaining how he met Najeeb and came up with the novel in the first place followed by the exclusive BTS making of ‘Aadujeevitham’. The making video is now going viral. The movie stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Najeeb with Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and others. AR Rahman scores the music. It releases on 10 April 2024.
