The spread of corona virus has impacted the Premier League matches as well, as the management is planning to restrict the matches to closed doors. As said by Sasha Ryazantsev, the Everton chief financial officer, this measure to stop letting fans for games is done to reduce the spread of the virus.
Earlier, the Italian authorities had decided to play Serie A games behind closed doors till April, and hence this might be enforced in premier league as well. Sports events in Italy will be held behind closed doors until 3 April due to corona virus and its fast reach.
Ryazantsev had said at the FT Business of Football Summit in London that the decision will be forced and that this is even beyond the world of sport and added that the decision might be announced in the coming weeks. It was also said that fair-play handshakes will not take place between players and match officials in Premier league because of corona virus.
