Prasanna Kumar, the General Secretary of Producers’ Council, has come out in support of Nandamuri Balakrishna. On Thursday, Balayya said that he was not invited to the last week’s deliberation between the representatives of Tollywood and Chief Minister KCR. The deliberation was led by Chiranjeevi on behalf of the industry.
Kumar feels that Balayya not getting an invite is not acceptable. “Balakrishna garu is not just an actor. He is a member of the Telugu Film Producers’ Council and the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. The likes of Dasari Narayana Rao garu used to put the Chamber before them. No meeting can ideally be held without the TFCC acting as the centre,” he told a TV channel.
“It wouldn’t have been a problem had the recent meeting (held at Chiranjeevi’s residence) been held through the Chamber. Even Narayandas Narang, the President of the Chamber, didn’t get an invite. There is a responsibility on everyone to give Balakrishna garu his due,” he added.
Recently, Kumar said that Chiranjeevi is highly inaccessible for members of trade bodies.
