Pan-Indian superstar Prabhas created a sensation in Japan on Friday as he arrived in Tokyo for a special meet-and-greet session with fans. The actor, who commands a massive following in the country thanks to the unprecedented success of the Baahubali franchise, fulfilled his promise to meet his Japanese admirers this year.
Ahead of the exclusive screening of Baahubali: The Epic—a condensed version combining both films—Prabhas greeted a packed auditorium of fans who had eagerly awaited his arrival. The star appeared stylish and noticeably leaner, a refreshing contrast to his earlier bulky looks for various film roles.
Prabhas interacted warmly with the audience, indulging in expressive gestures and playful moments that have recently become popular among his younger Japanese fans. With the help of a translator, he enjoyed an engaging and relaxed conversation on stage, further endearing himself to the crowd.
The actor thanked his longtime supporters, signed posters, and expressed his desire to visit Japan annually. In a rare move compared to his previous public appearances, Prabhas chose not to conceal his look—skipping caps and sunglasses—much to the delight of fans who admired his new, refreshed appearance.
Prabhas is currently filming Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, for which he has intentionally shed weight. He is expected to return to India next week to resume the shoot.
