Prabhas’ ‘Fauzi’ Creates Pre-Release Buzz with Massive OTT Deal

Even before its release, Prabhas’ upcoming pan-India spectacle Fauzi is making headlines with its sensational pre-release business. Currently under production, the film is on track for a grand theatrical release in December 2026.

Trade circles are abuzz with reports that Netflix has acquired the film’s South Indian digital streaming rights for a whopping ₹180 crore, making it one of the biggest OTT acquisitions for a Telugu film. On the theatrical front, AA Films has reportedly secured the Hindi distribution rights for more than ₹60 crore.

Interestingly, while the South digital rights have already been sold, the Hindi OTT rights are yet to be finalized and are expected to trigger a bidding war among leading streaming platforms. The makers are also expected to earn substantial revenues from the film’s satellite, music, and other ancillary rights.

Meanwhile, production is moving ahead at full pace. The team is set to begin filming a high-voltage interval action sequence from July 10, with Prabhas joining the shoot alongside the principal cast. The action episode is said to be one of the film’s biggest highlights.

Making her Tollywood debut, Imanvi stars opposite Prabhas, while the ensemble cast also includes veteran actors Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada, Mithun Chakraborty, and Chaitra J. Achar in pivotal roles.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Fauzi is being mounted on a staggering ₹700 crore budget, making it one of the costliest Indian films in production. Music is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, whose soundtrack is expected to add another major attraction to the film.

With record-breaking business, a massive budget, and Prabhas leading the charge, Fauzi is already emerging as one of the most awaited pan-India releases of 2026.
