'Radhe Shyam' hit the screens on March 11 and sank without a trace in Hindi. In Telugu, it did reasonable business but the costs were too gargantuan for the film to recover investments. Tamil and other versions were disastrous as well.
In his latest interview, Prabhas has almost accepted that doing the film was not prudent. He suggested that the genre and the soft character Vikramaditya didn't suit his image.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, analyzing the result, the superstar said, "Maybe Covid-19 or maybe we missed something in the script." And the 'Adipurush' actor then added, "May be people don’t want to watch me in that zone, even if they want to watch – may be they expect me to be too good."
Any which way you look at his reply, Prabhas is not beating around the bush. He has conveyed the fact that he believes the Radha Krishna Kumar directorial didn't work at the box office. It didn't rake in hundreds of crores.
