Actress Poonam Kaur has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a disorder characterized by "widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues." The multi-lingual actress, who has also been an activist, was recently in Kerala, where she was diagnosed with the disorder by experts. "Treatment for fibromyalgia aims to ease the symptoms and improve quality of life. The main treatments are exercise, talking therapies and medicines," a medical portal says.
It's a life-long ailment one has to live with, from what we understand. "She has had extreme body pains for about two years," a source says.
The actress, who is also closely associated with the Telugu States on the level of activism, was recently in the news over her participation in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra to highlight the issues faced by handloom weavers.
The actress has done Telugu movies such as 'Srinivasa Kalyanam', 'Next Enti?', 'Eenadu', 'Ganesh' and 'Nagavalli'.
