Superhit Father-son duo in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is one of the grandest mounted film projects in Tamil cinema which is in rigorous pre-production mode and will go on floors in a few weeks time.  The A.R.Rahman musical has the ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Keerthy Suresh, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amala Paul, Parthiban and Jayaram have been signed so far with more to go.

The latest addition to the ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ cast is Arav Ravi the son of Jayam Ravi who made his acting debut in father’s super hit film ‘Tik Tik Tik’ touted as India’s first space movie.  The father-son duo are going to share screen space for the second time and while it is already reported that Jayam Ravi will be portraying the central character of Vandhiyathevan it is unknown which role little Arav will don.  All official announcements regarding this mega project is expected pretty soon.
