Can you guess who the young Kundavai in ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is? – Surprising DEETS

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ just like the first part has turned out to be a huge commercial success. Lyca Productions has officially announced that in just four days the film collected rupees two hundred crores globally.  It is poised to make much more since there are no major releases for the next couple of weeks.

There is a lot of attention towards teen actress Sara Arjun who played the younger version of the pivotal character Nandini played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.  On the other hand Trisha Krishnan has played Kundavai in the film and another teen actress Nila has played her younger self.

Now it has come to light that Nila is the only daughter of Tamil serial actors Kavitha Bharathi and Kanya Bharathi.  The former who attained fame by directing the all time favorite ‘Chithi’ has also acted in movies such as Jyothika’s ‘Ratsasi’.  Kanya Bharathi is famous for her comedy and character roles in the serials ‘Deivam Thantha Veedu’, ‘Anbae Vaa’ and ‘Chithiram Pesuthadi’.

It is said that Nila who is doing her studies in Kerala was chosen for the role of young Kundavai after an extensive audition process.  Fans have give her the thumbs up for doing a neat job with subtle expressions in ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’.

‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ has music by A.R. Rahman and stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi ,Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi and others.
