Official! ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ grosses BIG in its long opening weekend

‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ marks the conclusion to the epic historical saga created by legendary hitmaker Mani Ratnam based on Kalki’s renowned classic novel of the same name. On Friday, the sequel stormed the screens and started breaking records at the box office.

The biggest competition for PS-2 at the number game is its predecessor Ponniyin Selvan 1 which became the highest-collected film in Tamil cinema by minting more than Rs 500 crore. The long opening weekend for Ponniyin Selvan 2 is over in these four days. Despite the working days, PS-2 is most likely to dominate the box office for a few weeks. The movie was critically acclaimed as well. The sequel focuses on the heart-melting love story of Aditha Karikalan and Nandhini while depicting Arunmozhi’s valour & selfless nature and Vandhiyathevan’s loyalty.
