The pre-release event of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was held on Sunday evening at Yousufuda’s Police Grounds. The event was a massive success, with thousands of fanboys attending it with enthusiasm. Despite the best efforts of the organizers to control the crowds, they tried to force their way into the venue without adherence to crowd discipline.
When the situation went out of control, the policemen deployed to monitor the event had to resort to mild lathi-charging on some of the over-enthusiastic fans. The fiasco happened before the arrival of Allu Arjun. It was nothing short of a challenge for the cops to control the crowds. Many of them were eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite hero. But they had to be shooed away because the venue was already teeming with crowds.
The pre-release event was one of the most crowd-pulling events in the history of Telugu cinema. The delirious situation that prevailed at the venue mirrored the craze surrounding the Allu Arjun-Sukumar project. The film will hit the screens on December 17.
