A bomb threat was emailed to Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s residence in Anna Nagar, creating widespread panic. The Chennai police immediately rushed to the spot, conducted a thorough search, and confirmed it was a hoax. However, a probe is underway to trace the sender.
This morning, an email received at the Chennai DGP office claimed bombs had been planted at the homes/offices of Ajith Kumar, Ramya Krishnan, S.V. Shekher, Sathya Moorthy Bhavan, and EVP Film City. Acting swiftly, police cordoned off Ajith’s house and deployed bomb detection squads along with sniffer dogs for a complete inspection.
Ajith fans expressed shock on social media, trending demands like “Ensure Ajith Sir’s safety!” Recent similar threats to stars like Vijay, Suriya, and Trisha have heightened security concerns in the film industry.
The incident has caused significant unrest in Tamil cinema circles. Authorities expect to soon identify and apprehend those behind the hoax.
