Police across India have notoriously tried to implement the lockdown by resorting to high-handed and disproportionate force. Recently, the video clip of a bank employee being beaten up by constables in Bengaluru went viral. Many Netizens outraged that an employee was ill-treated by cops merely because he was on the way to attend his duty.

For a change, the Karnataka police have replaced force with hospitality. As reported by India TV, policemen were seen doing an aarti of lockdown rule-breakers somewhere in the State.
While aarti has a pious place in the universe of religious rituals, the policemen did it to mock the rule-breakers.
