Vetrimaaran’s ‘Pettaikaali’ trailer serves as a prelude to Suriya’s ‘Vaadivaasal’

Vetrimaaran’s ‘Vaadivaasal’ starring Suriya in the lead role is still in its preproduction stage but fans just cant wait for it to go on floors and better still watch it at the earliest.  However it is a given that the mammoth project will take a while longer due to the director’s ‘Viduthalai’ becoming a two part film and Suriya also involved in the two part project ‘Suriya 42’ directed by Siruthai Siva.

However the trailer of the new web series ‘Pettaikaali’ produced by Vetrimaaran serves as a prelude to ‘Vaadivaasal’ as it too deals with Jallikattu and the relationship between the men and the bulls involved in the ancient sport.  The series is written and directed by Rajkumar an erstwhile associate of Vetri while Santhosh Naryanan is scoring the music and Velraj handles the camera.

The ‘Pettaikaali’ trailer shows that there is electrifying tension behind the scenes as much as on the field where the men and the beasts collide.  Kalaiyarasan and Sheila Rajkumar play the lead roles with Kishore in an important character.   The series premiers on Aha Tamil on October 21st ahead of Diwali.
