Global Star Ram Charan’s much-awaited pan-India sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on June 4, 2026, with premieres scheduled across the globe on June 3. With every update from the film creating massive buzz, Ram Charan has now opened up about his transformative experience playing the titular role.
Speaking about the film, Ram Charan described Peddi as one of the most rewarding journeys of his career, both professionally and personally. He revealed that the character represents an unheard section of society and said he feels fortunate to bring such a story to the big screen.
“I am very fortunate to be playing this character. We are representing a section of people who are unheard, who need a voice and recognition. To portray a character like that in a country like India is something I am very proud of. I feel blessed to have come across a role like this,” said Ram Charan.
The actor further revealed that Peddi demanded more from him than any of his previous films. Calling it the toughest role of his career, Charan explained that immersing himself in the character was both challenging and fascinating.
“This is the most difficult character I have played so far. The journey pushed me to grow significantly as an actor and helped me sharpen my craft. It was a deeply satisfying experience, not just as a performer but also as a person,” he added.
