With Jagan getting personal about Pawan Kalyan’s “three wives and four-five children” over the issue of introduction of English medium in government schools across Andhra Pradesh, the Jana Sena leader today further upped the ante.
Taking to social media, he hit out at the “doublespeak” of the Telugu daily Sakshi over the issue. When YCP was in the Opposition, the daily had pooh-poohed the government’s decision to introduce English medium in municipal schools. “Isn’t this hypocrisy?” asked Pawan.
“We have to learn how to safeguard and promote our mother tongue by looking at Kannadigas, Marathis, Tamils and Hindi speaking Indians. An English gentleman named CP Brown could do so much for our own Telugu language and it is sad that our own Telugu leaders are planning to wipe it out,” he said.
Nara Lokesh too slammed Jagan and asked if he didn’t remember that his daughters had been studying in English medium schools when he raised the slogan, ‘English medium vaddu, Telugu eh muddu’.
