Pawan Kalyan goes to Lucknow for important meet

Pawan Kalyan is today in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.  As per a statement from the Jana Sena Party, the chief will participate in a meeting with the main leadership of the Bahujan Samaj Party, led by Mayawati.   “Students from the Osmania University, certain educationalists and experts in different are accompanying the leader,” the party says.

This visit by the actor-turned-politician to Lucknow comes at a time when the Mahaghatbandhan politics in UP are puzzling even political pundits.  Recently, there were some reports that the Samajwadi Party, led by Akhilesh Yadav, is not interested in giving BSP more than 20 Lok Sabha seats to contest in 2019.  If this is true, then Mayawati won’t be interested in a Grand Alliance.  

Pawan, who sees his party as an organization working for the backward classes, is going to meet with Mayawati, some unconfirmed reports are saying.
