Parthiban presents symbol of Kings to Kamal Haasan

Parthiban known for his innovation in cinema and life, in general, presented a torchlight shaped sceptre to Kamal Haasan symbolizing that the Makkal Neethi Maiam leader is going to rule Tamil Nadu justly in the future.  Kamal was one of the chief guests along with K.Bhagyaraj and Shankar on the occasion of the audio launch function of ‘Otha Seruppu’ written, produced and directed by Parthiban in which he also plays the only character throughout the movie.

Speaking at the occasion Kamal praised Parthiban for his effort comparing him with Robert Redford and Tom Hardy who have done single character roles before.  He also wished that the film succeeds commercially as well giving a boost to Parthiban’s creative efforts.  The Ulaganayagan recalled that both Shankar and Parthiban wanted to cast him in their first films ‘Gentleman’ and ‘Puthiya Paathai’ respectively but since he could not do them due to non-availability of dates.
