The audio of Oopiri, the Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual, will be released on Feb 28. Earlier, we reported the film's release date to be March 25, in both Telugu and Tamil.
Produced by Prasad V Potluri, the film is based on the French film The Intouchables. While Nag is playing a quadriplegic, Karthi is playing his caretaker. Tamannah Bhatia is playing a key role here. Adivi Sesh and Anushka are cast together in this film. Shriya Saran, the lucky charm in Nag's films, is playing a special, guest role.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, it has music by Gopi Sunder. Cinematography is by PS Vinod.
Recently, sharing his experience of working for the film, Nag said, "I’m playing a totally paralyzed person in Oopiri. Even the neck movement is very mild. It’s a full-on comedy. My relationship with Karthi is very funny. There is no revenge element or things like that. Even how I became a quadriplegic is not shown. It was very depressing to play the role (laughs). I had to be static and I would sometimes have ‘timmiri’ in my legs. One assistant director was assigned the work of observing only me. He would alert the director even if my finger moved a little. (laughs). It was very difficult as I’m used to tap my fingers whenever I talk."
