Pop star Olivia Rodrigo reportedly got the thumbs up from the St. Louis crowd Sunday night to allow a local non-profit to hand out free emergency contraception pills and condoms to concertgoers in a state frequently at the forefront of anti-abortion measures envisioned by many.

Handouts from the Missouri Abortion Fund included condoms, papers with abortion information, and Julie, a contingency pill similar to Plan B. All this was ready for Rodrigo's Guts World Tour, which is making a stop in St. Louis.

According to the Missouri Abortion Fund, activists dropped off 100 emergency contraception kits at the clinic, two of them in Julie's name, along with information on abortion care.

Fund 4 Good zeroes in on its name in that a portion of the proceeds from her tours supports reproductive health freedom for all, in which Rodrigo stands up.

The shows will have, among others, the National Network of Abortion Funds, which has a dedicated fund for women in Missouri. Not everyone took his actions kindly. In a social media post, Wentzville Republican State Senator ×××× welcomed Rodrigo by expressing her views against abortion matters. In Missouri, some of the most stringent abortion laws in the country have been laid since the Supreme Court effectively toughened abortion rights it had upheld since Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Rodrigo's lyrics and music channel the same resistance and refusal to change the laws around criminalizing abortion pills and in vitro fertilization. On her concert stage, which features set pieces touching on everything from freedom of speech to censorship, Pink worked with PEN America and a Florida bookstore to distribute censored books.
