‘Oka Sextant Katha’ is introduced as a journey of two nestless love birds – Narayana (Kishan G Rao of ‘KGF’ fame) and his wife Ningi. Now, Narayana is in his 70s and he owns a Nano. His wife is his world. She falls ill and needs a super-expensive surgery that is going to cost him twenty lakh rupees. How can Narayana, who ostensibly has got no children or property of his own, fund the life-saving surgery?
Based on a true story, the film’s plot takes a peculiar turn. Narayana marshals a sextant binocular glass through which others can be seen in their naked form. Narayana depends on his friend, a dwarf who is a junior artist, to sell the binoculars to a perverted rich guy.
The trailer begins with Charlie Chaplin’s quote ‘You will never find a rainbow if you are looking down’.
Produced by Kesari Film Capture, the comedy-drama has Raja Shiva Shankar as the director of photography. Arav Rishik has composed the songs and BGM, while the Siddharth S Nayaka-Deepu duo are its editors. Shivu is the art director.
