Repeating his long-standing grouse, veteran actor Kota Srinivas Rao has once again found fault with Tollywood's increasing tendency to go gaga over non-Telugu languages and artists. Saying that he has been outraging against this for 15 years now, the respected actor said that today's filmmakers are not capable of depicting or elevating onscreen Teluguness.
"One needs to have bias toward one's mother tongue. Learn your neighbour's language for livelihood, but don't neglect your mother tongue", he said in a TV interview the other day.
"I don't know if anyone will get angry if I say this. I haven't seen any praising NTR for his performance (in 'Janatha Garage'). What is surprising about Mohanlal doing well? He is a great actor. Telugu vadu emayyadu? (What about our Telugu actor?" Kota said.
