Following protests by pro-Kannada moral police, Sunny Leone's scheduled New Year event in Bengaluru has been denied permission.
The Home Minister of Karnataka himself has made this clear. "We have denied permission fearing law and order problems. We have taken the decision keeping in mind the directions of the High Court in a molestation case that happened on the MG Road on the night of December 31 last year," HM R Ramalinga Reddy has told a national daily.
Sections of media are referring to this as a ban, while the Government may not be willing to see it as one.
