Nithya Menon’s conditions frustrate the director

Even as Samantha Ruth Prabhu is said to have given the nod to play Mahanati Savitri's role in a forthcoming Nag Ashwin movie, the question as to why Nithya Menon (the original choice) is not in the fray, hasn't been answered.

Here is why she was shown the door.

It's learnt that the makers dropped Nithya after they had to grapple with certain creative differences with her.  They were not happy with Nithya's insistence that certain aspects of Savitri's life shouldn't be written into the movie.  

Secondly, Nithya was also determined that Sai Madhav Burra alone should pen the script.  This apparently didn't go down well with Nag Ashwin.

Be that as it may, the makers are as yet non-committal about having got Samantha's nod.  Wonder what's brewing.
