It was on this day (June 14) in 2002 that 'Jayam' hit the screens. Director Teja launched Nithin with this blockbuster, which went on to make the newcomer a household name in no time. As Nithin's career turns a year older today, his wife Shalini Kandukuri took to Instagram and wrote a warm message. She adorably welcomed her hubby to the adulthood of his film career now that the teens are over.

"Happy 19 husband. Enjoy the last of your teen years and Welcome to adulthood. You have been an inspiration to many. May your next years be the best of your life. Wishing you lots of great work ahead (sic)," Shalini wrote.

The wife shared a beautiful collage of Nithin's popular stills so far.

Earlier in the day, the 'Rang De' actor took to social media and wrote a memorable post on his journey so far. "The journey of 'Jayam' will always be the most unforgettable memory. The immense support and love spread through my fans is immeasurable. A big thanks to all of them for believing in me and special mention to the director, Teja Sir," the 'Maestro' actor added.

He has re-started shooting for 'Maestro', co-starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Nabha Natesh, from today.
