Is ‘NGK’ really a hit or flop – Producer S.R. Prabhu exclusive interview

S.R. Prabhu is a unique producer in South Indian cinema who puts content above all else nurturing fresh talents to bring out such critically acclaimed films as ‘Joker’, ‘Aruvi’, ‘Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru’ and others.  His latest venture ‘Ratchasi’ starring Jyothika is releasing today amidst rave reviews from the press and the celebrity shows.  We caught up with Prabhu who gave us the inside out of film production and gave straight answers to some of the questions that linger on the minds of the Suriya- Karthi fans.

Firstly S.R. Prabhu revealed how exactly he is related to the two giant stars of Tamil cinema, Suriya and Karthi and goes on to explain in our video the advantages of working with them both.  He surprises by letting out that Karthi starrer ‘Kashmora’ labeled a flop by so-called trade analysts is in fact a profit-making venture for him even surpassing the critically acclaimed ‘Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru’.  It is the same in the case of Suriya’s ‘NGK’ directed by Selvaraghavan declared a flop by the media but a lucrative venture according to it producer himself.  There is much more in the video below about a Suriya-Karthi combo movie, ‘Ratchasi’ and the art of producing films.
