New OTT releases: A list of films and series set to make their digital debut this weekend!

It is going to be a great weekend for movie buffs with exciting films and series lined up to debut on the OTT platforms. Nearly 16 titles are likely to be released digitally on June 9 from different languages. Here is a list of the new OTT releases to watch out for:

1) Custody (Tamil & Telugu) – Venkat Prabhu’s new bilingual action thriller starring Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty with Arvind Swamy, Priyamani and Sarathkumar in the lead roles. With music by Ilaiyaraaja & Yuvan, the movie is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video on June 9.

2) Raavana Kottam (Tamil) – This is a gripping rural action drama starring Shanthnu, Prabhu, Anandhi and others is set to debut in Amazon Prime Video on June 12.

3) 2018: Everyone is a Hero (Malayalam) – Thovino Thomas starrer apocalyptic drama that focuses on the horrifying 2018 floods that terrorised the Kerala state. The film also stars leading actors from the Tamil & Malayalam industry. Based on true events, it became the highest-grossing film ever in Mollywood. It will debut on SonyLIV on June 9.

4) Avatar: The Way of Water (English and Indian languages) – Renowned maker James Cameron’s cinematic spectacle is coming to Disney Plus Hotstar on June 9 in India in our regional languages after its overseas OTT debut.

5) Men Too (Telugu) – An offbeat comedy movie set to stream on the Aha platform on June 9 after two weeks of its theatrical run.

6) Bloody Daddy (Hindi) – This action thriller starring Shahid Kapoor is an adaptation of the French film ‘Sleepless Nights’. It streams for free on Jio Cinema on June 9.

7) Never Have I Ever (English) – The fourth and final season of this popular Netflix original series streams on the platform on June 8.

8) UP65 (Hindi) – A comedy-drama series based on the famous novel of the same name. The show’s debut season comes to Jio Cinema on June 8.

9) Gunehgaar (Hindi) – A psychological thriller set to debut on ZEE5 this week.

10) Adai Mazhai Kaalam (Tamil) – A fresh team’s fantasy romance drama will drop on Netflix on June 9.

11) Maalai Nera Mallipoo (Tamil) – A hard-hitting film based on the lives of sex workers that won accolades in prestigious film festivals. The movie comes to Aha Tamil on June 9.

12) Bloodhounds (Korean) – A stunning action thriller series streams on Netflix from June 9.

13) The Crowded Room (English) – Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried’s 10-episode show will digitally debut on Apple TV+ on June 9.

14) Arnold (English) – Netflix’s Arnold is a three-part documentary series that depicts Arnold Schwarzenegger’s multi-dimensional life from bodybuilding to Hollywood actor to a politician. The show debuts on June 7.

15) The Playing Card Killer (Spanish) – A documentary series based on a notorious real-life serial killer who leaves playing cards at the murder scenes. The show comes to Netflix on June 9.

16) Barracuda Queens (Swedish) – A girl gang heist series in an upper-class setting. The show streams on Netflix on June 5.
