As the whole nation is witnessing a lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, educational institutions were also closed, with no exact reopening strategy or dates for schools and colleges besides postponement of all competitive and entrance examinations.
After more than 40 days of lockdown, now an announcement has been issued by the central government regarding the dates for conducting Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
During a webinar, HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal who was interacting with students announced that the JEE-Mains exams will be held between July 18-23 while JEE-Advanced exams are planned i August. Besides, he also announced the date of medical entrance exam NEET to be July 26.
