Nara Lokesh fulfills first promise he made during Yuva Galam yatra

In January 2023, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh launched the Yuva Galam Padayatra, a state-wide walkathon across Andhra Pradesh, during which he made several key promises. His first significant pledge came when he reached the 100 km milestone at Bangarupalyam in the Puthalapattu constituency, where he committed to establishing a dialysis center at the local government hospital. This initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare to kidney patients, many of whom were forced to travel long distances for treatment.

Fast forward to 2024, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), in coalition with Janasena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), now governs Andhra Pradesh. True to his word, Lokesh fulfilled his promise by setting up the dialysis center in Bangarupalyam. The newly established facility will now serve kidney patients from surrounding areas, offering critical medical services close to home and reducing their travel burden.

Lokesh made various similar commitments throughout his Yuva Galam Padayatra, unveiling a stone plaque every 100 kilometers of his journey to commemorate each milestone. As promised, the dialysis center in Bangarupalyam was operational within 100 days of the TDP government assuming power. The hospital is now equipped with state-of-the-art dialysis machines, beds, and specialized water treatment systems. Previously, over 70 patients from areas like Bangarupalyam, Aragonda, and Aira had to undergo dialysis in Chittoor. The new center is expected to significantly benefit these patients.

In addition to these efforts, Lokesh has actively participated in flood relief initiatives. Organizations like Mold Tech Packaging Limited, PreUnique, and Divis Laboratories made substantial donations to assist flood victims in Andhra Pradesh. With the support of prominent figures such as Divi Kiran and Adivishnu Sandeep, Lokesh helped mobilize resources, including a donation of Rs. 5 crore from Divis Laboratories, to aid affected communities and provide meals through the Akshaya Patra Foundation. People are heaping praises on Lokesh for his commitment in fulfilling the promises he made during his election campaigning.
