Nagarjuna’s ‘Wild Dog’ seals a wild deal for direct OTT release?

‘Wild Dog’, starring Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead, had wrapped up its shoot in the first week of November. Since then, post-production works, too, have been mostly completed. Before December, the action thriller locked an exciting deal with a prominent OTT platform. 

Latest reports suggest that the deal is so wild that, if the amount that the producers of the film had got at the box-office, it would be the biggest hit for Nagarjuna since ‘Manam’. As per a report, Netflix has bought the film for Rs 27 Cr. 

Directed by Ahishor Solomon, ‘Wild Dog’ is likely to be streamed on the platform for Republic Day. So, Nag’s film has skipped the theatrical release despite half a dozen noted films confirming a theatrical release in the last few days. 

Bollywood actress Dia Mirza has a major role in this film. Sayami Kher has another key role. Shaneil Deo of ‘Kshanam’ and the recent ‘Nishabdham’ fame is the film’s cinematographer. Action choreography is by David Ismalone. Yugandhar T is doing VFX Supervision.
