Kollywood production house Sri Thenandal Films had planned a big-ticket film with ‘Maari-2’ actor Dhanush. It was to be his second directorial venture and made as a “spectacular larger than life opus”. The Telugu-Tamil bilingual was to star Akkineni Nagarjuna as one of the lead actors.
More than 10 months after Nag was finalized, the project itself has been shelved. The film won’t be made, reports say. The production house has some reservations about the unusual flick and those seem to pertain to practical issues rather than creative aspects.
Nag, meanwhile, is doing ‘Brahmastra’ in Hindi. Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt are the lead actors in this big-budgeted entertainer.
