Naga Chaitanya banking on remake again?

Akkineni hero Naga Chaitanya had a not so memorable 2018, as he had two releases in the year, the Chandoo Mondeti directorial Savyasachi with Madhavan and the Maruthi directorial Sailaja Reddy Alludu, both meeting with a lukewarm response from the audience.

 However, unfazed by the twin failures, Chay is currently working on his next, the relationship drama Majili directed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnukori fame, co-starring his wife Samantha besides television actress Divyansha Kaushik. Chaitanya and Sam play a married couple in this movie, marking their fourth together.

On the other hand, the buzz is that Naga Chaitanya is keen on playing one of the leads in the upcoming Telugu remake of the 2017 Bollywood superhit Bareilly Ki barfi by Ashwini Tiwari, that starred Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. It must be noted that Chay had last scored a success with Premam, another remake.
