The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) recently announced that producers planning to work with actor Dhanush must consult with the Association beforehand. Today, the Nadigar Sangam, led by Nassar, Vishal, and Karthi, issued a statement in support of Dhanush. The statement reads:
“We would like to point out that no complaint has been lodged against Mr. Dhanush by the Tamil Film Producers till date, and no complaint is pending against him. The South Indian Actors Association condemns the fact that the Tamil Film Producers Association has made this decision without consulting us and has published it as a press release for practical issues that should be discussed and resolved by both parties.”
This statement has caused a stir in the film industry. Additionally, the Nadigar Sangam criticized the TFPC for planning a strike of Tamil cinema shooting without consulting them. The TFPC has yet to respond to these condemnations from the Nadigar Sangam. It is suggested that the two associations should hold a proper meeting to discuss these issues and arrive at a mutually beneficial resolution.
