In the past few days, ‘Naatu Naatu’ has been heard everywhere. The Oscar-winning song has been mentioned by the speaker of the Rajya Sabha and a couple of Parliamentarians as well. The Ram Charan-Jr NTR hook step has been used by brands and politicians alike. Memes targeting Narendra Modi and Adani have been brought out by the Congress party. And the BJP has used the song to deride Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.
And, yesterday, it was the turn of former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar to celebrate the song in his own way. The cricket commentator and Matthew Hayden leveraged the Keeravani composition while celebrating India’s win in Ahmedabad. Gavaskar can be seen trying to recreate the hook step in a now-viral video clip. Whatever happens on a cricket ground reaches millions in a jiffy.
Meanwhile, ‘Naatu Naatu’ has become one of the most Googled songs this week. Sung by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj, the song is written by Chandrabose.
