Former Karnataka minister and Congress MLA Tanveer Sait was stabbed in the neck by a man at a wedding ceremony that happened in Mysuru late Sunday night.
The MLA was reportedly sitting alone in the front seat at the wedding hall when a man, identified as Farhan Pasha (28), attacked him with a knife on the neck, causing severe injuries. The video that has surfaced online shows Tanveer walking out with blood from his neck soaking his shirt. According to a report, the Congress MLA has been receiving treatment at a hospital and the doctors apparently can’t confirm anything until 78 years.
The attacker was caught soon after and was handed over to the police. A resident of Ghousianagar and a carpenter by profession, Farhan slipped and fell down after his legs got entangled under a carpet while he tried to make his escape. The investigation is currently underway.
