Mukesh Ambani pays 550 Crores to save brother Anil from going to jail

They may not have been on the best of terms for the past few years but when the going gets tough it is the blood that comes to the rescue and it has happened in the case of the Ambanis.  Anil Ambani’s Reliance Communication owes Swedish telecom manufacturer Ericsson a huge amount of 550 crores and he was staring at a jail term of three months if he failed to pay up.

Mukesh Ambani has stepped in and paid off the dues and his younger brother Anil has stated “”My sincere and heartfelt thanks to my respected elder brother, Mukesh, and Nita, for standing by me during these trying times, and demonstrating the importance of staying true to our strong family values by extending this timely support. I and my family are grateful we have moved beyond the past, and are deeply touched with this gesture,”
