Former India captain MS Dhoni met the Men in Blue T20I side, who are set to take on New Zealand in the first T20 of the 3-match series on Friday (January 27) in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a video on social media on Thursday in which Dhoni could be seen meeting the likes of Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav.

In a short video posted by the BCCI, titled, “Look who came visiting at training today in Ranchi – the great @msdhoni”, the former captain is also seen interacting with opener Shubman Gill, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal as well as the support staff.

After the opening T20I, the teams will travel to Lucknow and Ahmedabad for the next two games to be played on January 29 and February 1, respectively. Kohli, Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Sami have been rested in this series following India’s Test series against Australia starting on February 2.
