Can’t reveal anything until I retire: Dhoni on CSK’s success secret

Chennai Super Kings’ skipper MS Dhoni, who is known for his sarcastic remarks as much as he is known for his batting and wicket-keeping skills, made one such comment in his post-match interview to Harsha Bhogle, following their victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.

When Harsha asked Dhoni about CSK’s secret for success as they have been making it to the playoffs every single season of the IPL, the skipper replied, “If I tell everyone what it is, then they won’t buy me at the auctions. It’s a trade secret.” He also added that he wouldn’t be able to reveal the secrets until he retires. “The crowd support and franchise’s support are key of course. Huge credit has to also go to the support staff who play a huge role in keeping the team atmosphere good for the team and other individuals. Other than this, I can’t reveal anything till I retire. It’s alright, not showing signs of getting worse. With the World Cup coming, I need to be careful as that comes first,” Dhoni further stated.

CSK is currently at the top of the table with 16 points from 11 games. Dhoni has been the top-scorer for the team in nearly every match this season, with a total of 314 runs. CSK will be playing against MI on April 26.
