Over 200+ residents of Pondicherry have joined  Makkal Needhi Mayyam, a political party launched by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. All of them belong to various other parties and now they have united under the leadership of Kamal, as they felt he is the best alternative. 

With many think-tanks and common people rallying behind Kamal. the actor shows strong potential of becoming a political force in the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu.
