It's known that AIADMK leaders and the party's supporters address late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa as their mother (Amma). KT Rajendra Balaji, a Minister in the AIADMK government, has made news by saying that Narendra Modi is like their daddy.

"When Amma (Jayalalithaa) was alive, she was in full control. Her decisions were her own. So, it was different but in today's context, due to the absence of Amma, Modi is our daddy. He is India's daddy. So we have accepted his leadership," he has been quoted as saying by ANI.

Only recently, the BJP entered into an alliance with AIADMK. There is a Grand Alliance of some parties in this alliance. Although NDA may not win even 10 seats (out of 40 Lok Sabha seats), the DMK-Congress are visibly a bit spooked.
