It’s known that Bengali starlet Mishti Mukherjee breathed her last on last Friday night due to renal failure. The 27-year-old had been facing faced kidney-related issues for the past few days.
Latest media reports suggest that Mishti had developed health complications due to a keto diet regimen that she was adhering to religiously.
Due to a keto diet, her kidney started malfunctioning, reports say. The main principle behind a keto diet is to eliminate all sources of carbs and instead use fat as the source of energy for the body. This diet may put a lot of stress on your kidneys and may lead to kidney stones and failures.
“A recent study from Harvard University in the US had revealed that the ketogenic diet has numerous risks. Kidneys help metabolize protein, and the keto diet may overload them,” an India.com report says.
The youngster’s death should be an eye-opener for all health-conscious individuals who take to new diet courses without expert guidance.
The last rites of the actress were performed on Saturday.
