Mirchi Shiva and Priya Anand team up for the third time

Mirchi Shiva the affable comedy hero of Kollywood has signed a bunch of movies recently that include ‘Idiot’ directed by Ram Bala which is ready for release and ‘Saloon’ costarring Yogi Babu.  His brand new project is the remake of the cult classic comedy movie ‘Kasethaan Kadavulada’ directed by Chithralaya Gopu that was released in the year 1972.

After close to five decades director R. Kannan has acquired the remake rights of ‘Kasethaan Kadavulada’ and is preparing to shoot soon.  Mirchi Shiva is playing the lead role that was portrayed by Muthuraman in the original and Yogi Babu has been roped in for the pivotal character played by Thengai Srinivasan.

Now the big news is that Priya Anand has signed on to play the female lead in ‘Kasethaan Kadavulada’ and she will be filling in the big shoes of veteran actress Lakshmi. 

This is the third time Priya Anand is romancing Mirchi Shiva after their super hit ‘Vanakkam Chennai’ and the upcoming ‘Sumo’ which has garnered a huge interest in the trade circles.  Priya is also reprising the role played by Radhika Apte in the Tamil remake of ‘Andhadhun’ titled ‘Andagan’ starring Prashanth, Simran and Karthik in the lead roles.
