May sentiment: Of Mahesh Babu, Dil Raju & Ashwini Dutt

‘Nijam’, ‘Nani’ and ‘Brahmotsavam’.  What is common to these Mahesh Babu movies?  They are all disasters.  And they all were released in the month of May.  Much like ‘Maharshi’, whose new release date is May 9. 

‘Arya’, ‘Bhadra’, ‘Parugu’, ‘Rama Rama Krishna Krishna’, ‘Supreme’.  What is common to these movies?  They are all Dil Raju productions.  And they all were released in the month of May.  Much like ‘Maharshi’, which is co-produced by Dil Raju.  Of these, ‘RRKK’ was a flop.  

If sentiment is anything to go by, Mahesh and May don’t go together well.  However, if the same rule is to be applied for Dil Raju and May, the perception changes.  

Better still, consider these two movies: ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’ and ‘Mahanati’.  What is common to them? They both were blockbusters.  Both are C Ashwini Dutt’s movies.  And both were released on May 9.  Much like ‘Maharshi’.   (Dutt is one of the producers of ‘Maharshi’).  

All in all, Mahesh may well duck the May sentiment this time even if irrational sentiments are to be considered.
