Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has said that River Ganga has become much cleaner than in the past. So much so, the Prime Minister of Mauritius has taken a dip in the river along with his family because he was impressed with its cleanliness.
“In 2013 PM of Mauritius came to Kumbh & went to Sangam for a holy dip but came across filth, it was unfortunate. This time I insisted him, he had no prior plan to take a dip but when he saw the cleanliness, he couldn’t stop himself & took a dip with his family,” the BJP leader today said.
The efforts of the Centre as well as the UP government in cleaning up the important river have indeed borne fruits.
