Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year in the pan Indian trade circuit. The Tamil Nadu government has allowed theaters to function from November 10th after eight months of closure and rumours started spreading that 'Master' will hit the screens on Diwali day which falls on November 14th.

Reports have come in that the 'Master' team has made it clear that the film will not open any time soon. The makers are keen to wait and watch for the response of the audiences to theaters in the coronavirus pandemic situation and only after that they would take a call. Analysts are of the opinion that the film could release for Pongal 2021.

'Master' produced by XB Film Creators and Seven Screen Studios has music score by Anirudh Ravichander. The dream combo of Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi plays the protagonist and antagonist respectively with Malavika Mohanan and Andrea Jeremiah as the female leads.
