Maruthi to write for Raj Tarun’s next

A few days ago, we reported that Raj Tarun has two films lined up with AK Entertainments.  While one is a solo production with Anil Sunkara's production house, the other one is a co-production with writer-director Maruthi.  The latter project is moving ahead and inching towards an official announcement of cast and crew details in near future.

To be written by Maruthi (both story and screenplay), the film will be directed by Sanjana Reddy, a journo-turned-filmmaker who has earlier worked for in RGV's team for the film Rowdy.  The rom-com will have Niveda Thomas of Gentleman fame playing the female lead.  At least two directors were considered before the producer zeroed in on Sanjana.

By debuting with this project, Sanjana becomes yet another lady director in an industry where it's difficult for women to get opportunities in creative segments.  Nandini Reddy and B Jaya are the only two directors who have made a mark for themselves over the years.  Let's wish Sanjana joins the ranks of A-listers.

On the other hand, Maruthi writing this film means that it will acquire craze.
