Manoj Manchu’s Heartfelt Visit to Orphanage Wins Hearts Across Social Media

As part of the “Celebrity Punathanma Challenge,” actor Manoj Manchu visited MatruDevobhava Anadha Ashramam and extended heartfelt support to Santhosh, an orphaned man battling mental instability. What started as a simple visit soon turned into an emotional and inspiring moment that is now touching hearts widely across social media.
During his visit, Manoj personally helped Santhosh undergo a complete makeover by arranging a haircut, shave, fresh clothes, and grooming assistance. The transformation left everyone emotional. Looking at Santhosh after the makeover, Manoj warmly said, “Santosh bhai, aap hero jaisa ban gaya,” while encouraging him to smile and feel confident again.
Speaking during the interaction, Manoj revealed that the ashram organiser Giri had first contacted him nearly two months ago through Instagram. Though occupied with film commitments and shoots at the time, the request stayed with him, eventually motivating him to personally visit the ashram.
The actor emotionally spoke about how mentally distressed homeless individuals are often ignored by society because of their appearance and behaviour.
“Even today, many are treated like untouchables. We are living in 2026. We have doctors, resources, and knowledge, yet people still walk away from them as if they don’t exist,” Manoj said.
He further added that people should move beyond temporary sympathy and work toward restoring dignity and acceptance for such individuals.
Deeply moved by the condition of the residents, Manoj also shared his vision of creating long-term rehabilitation systems. Alongside the sports rehabilitation centre he is already planning, the actor revealed that he is now considering developing a dedicated rehabilitation and care facility for mentally challenged and psychologically distressed individuals as well.
Manoj assured that AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI would continue supporting the ashram and its humanitarian activities. After witnessing residents having meals under trees due to lack of infrastructure, he immediately promised to arrange tables and chairs for the ashram.
Organiser Giri thanked Manoj emotionally for visiting the ashram despite public speculation about whether he would be able to come. He revealed that Santhosh had been wandering around Chaderghat for nearly two years before reaching the ashram.
“If we spend even thirty minutes with patience and humanity, a person can slowly regain dignity again,” Giri said.
He also requested Manoj’s support in arranging psychiatric care for the residents, explaining that transportation and medical assistance remain major challenges for the organisation.
Calling Manoj the first film actor to personally spend time with residents in this manner, Giri thanked the actor and his family for bringing visibility, compassion, and hope to people often forgotten by society.
On the professional front, Manoj Manchu is currently busy with multiple projects including David Reddy, Rakshak, and Mohana Raga, while also continuing his social outreach initiatives alongside his cinematic journey.
