Manju Warrier talks about her role in Rajinikanths Vettaiyan

In the midst of widespread speculations about her role in Rajinikanth’s upcoming action drama Vettaiyan, acclaimed actress Manju Warrier has offered fans a sneak peek into the film's production and her experience working on this highly-anticipated project.

Speaking recently about her role in 'Vettaiyan', Warrier expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "This is my first collaboration with Rajini sir and Gnanavel sir, who directed the critically acclaimed *Jai Bhim*. It’s a potent mix, and the movie will truly be a ' Rajinikanth film'. I play an intriguing character as Rajini sir’s wife, adding a new dimension to the story."

The actress also shared insights into the progress of the film. "Post-production is well underway, and we recently completed shooting. I haven’t started my dubbing for the film yet," Warrier revealed. Vettaiyan, an upcoming Tamil film, boasts an exceptional cast, including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Rana Daggubati.

Directed by T.J. Gnanavel and produced by A. Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner, Vettaiyan marks Rajinikanth’s 170th film, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is scheduled for a September release, and Rana Daggubati has teased that this movie will deviate from the typical Rajinikanth fare, offering viewers something entirely new. Vettaiyan is anticipated to be an action thriller, featuring Rajinikanth as a retired police officer who embarks on a mission to unravel a dark mystery.

Aside from Vettaiyan, Warrier has two other films in the pipeline. Her upcoming release, Footage, has been postponed due to heavy rains in Kerala. Directed by Saiju Sreedharan, the Malayalam film stars Visakh Nair and Gayathri Ashok alongside Warrier. Additionally, she is working on Viduthalai Part 2, a film with superstar Vijay Sethupathi, directed by Vetrimaaran, further adding to her impressive slate of upcoming projects.

As anticipation builds for Vettaiyan, Manju Warrier’s insights have only added to the excitement. With a powerhouse cast and a story that promises to be something unique in the Rajinikanth filmography, Vettaiyan is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of the superstar and Tamil cinema enthusiasts alike.
